The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) can help. We’re a Canada-wide, non-profit organization whose main goal is to keep computers and IT equipment out of landfills and put them in the hands of those who can use them. With depots in seven cities, we collect and repurpose hundreds of tons of electronics.

Here are four ways we can help.

Repair

If a repair or an upgrade is all you need but you don’t have an IT department, or if your team is stretched to the limit, our tech team can repair or upgrade your electronics so you can keep using them in your school or office. That way, you can extend the life of your equipment before you give up or give it away.

Reuse

Once your equipment has outlived its usefulness, we’ll put it in the hands of the people and organizations who need them. When you donate your unwanted electronics to us, we’ll delete your data by employing robust, 100%-secure data wiping protocols. We’ll then refurbish any useable equipment and pass it along to charitable organizations who need the technology.

Resell

Do you support the goal of sending used electronics to those in need? Do you have old equipment that no longer meets your needs but still has value? We can sell electronics on your behalf and use the proceeds to support various aspects of our non-profit operation. When you partner with us, you help us achieve our mandate of supporting those who don’t have access to computer equipment.

Recycle

Electronic recycling lets you reduce e-waste while saving space in landfill sites. When your donation can no longer be put to productive use, call us. We’ll safely and securely wipe all of your data with industry-leading Erasure Software and physically destroy your equipment with our powerful hard-drive shredders. Then we’ll make sure your equipment goes to an appropriate end-of-life recycling facility.
